He retired from General Electric Co. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II. He was a member of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, the GE Quarter Century Club and the East Erie Turners. He enjoyed fishing and hunting.
He was preceded in death by four sisters, Genevieve Moyak, Joan Niemic, Veronica Boler and Irene Lubecki; and three brothers, John, Stanley and Louis Skowronski.
Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Helen Ostrowski Skowronski; a daughter, Carol Hofmann and her husband, Richard, of Erie; two sisters, Frances Clinton and Wanda Conely and her husband, James, all of Erie; four grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Entombment, with military honors, will be at Mary Queen of Peace Mausoleum.
